Avec Yvan Alagbé, Martes Bathori, Gilles Berquet, Marie-Pierre Brunel, Guy Brunet, Julien Brunet, Marc Brunier-Mestas, Olivia Clavel, Zélie Doffémont, Gabriel Evrard, Diego Fermin, Frédéric Fleury, Irène Gérard, Céline Guichard, Joël Hubaut, Patrick Jannin, Joko, Jürg, Jurictus, Philippe Lagautrière, Nicolas Le Bault, Bertrand Leonard, Leyd, Laurent Lolmède, Mïrka Lugosi, Marine Luszpinski, Anne Mathurin, Stu Mead, Benoît Montjoie, Moolinex, Saralisa Pegorier, Tom de Pékin, Kiki Picasso, Jacques Pyon, Bruno Richard, Jessica Rispal, Xavier Robel, Samplerman, Stéphanie Sautenet, Tanxxx, Dominique Théate, Amandine Urruty, Aleksandra Waliszewska.

  • The digital industry is a growing field, which offers many job opportunities and attracts an immense amount of talent each year. However, work has become more complex, more fragmented and disrupted by constant change. Competition is fierce and distinctions between different positions and roles are not always clear. Digital jobs develop at an unprecedented rate and can appear or disappear within the course of a few years such that one wonders how to make sense of them. This publication sets out to explain the industry in concrete terms with 60 interviews of professionals offering the reader an inside look at 20 jobs. These individuals explain their day-to-day tasks, their backgrounds and the software and tools they use. They speak to the future of their job and to their opportunities for career development. Collectively, their experiences represent the work of a diverse range of freelancers, employees of start-ups and staff members at companies like AccorHotels, Adobe, Aviva, ASUS, Cathay Capital, Cognizant, Facebook, Google, IBM, Michael Page, SAP, Shopify and more.

Improving the performance of youth on the labour market is a crucial challenge in many OECD countries and first experiences on the labour market have a profound influence on later working life. This report on Norway, one of a series of country studies, surveys the main barriers to employment for young people in Norway, assesses of the adequacy and effectiveness of existing measures to improve the transition from school to work in the country, and presents set of policy recommendations. It finds that on most counts, the youth labour market in Norway performs well, but that the incidence of sickness and disability is unusually high, immigrant youth do not fare as well, and more needs to be done to ensure that all youth leave education with recognised qualifications.
